Slott opens its new LAB at stone’s throw from Beaubourg!

SlottLAB the unmissable new spot in Paris for design-art is honored to invite you to discover its 300sqm space on rue de Turbigo. For this grand occasion will be shown the entire collection of Slott Gallery (including works by matali crasset, Arik Levy, Mathieu Lehanneur, Florence Jaffrain), as well as new exclusive pieces not to be missed! Happy hours, professional get-togethers, live performances. Monday, 10 September 2012 at 6 p.m.: Special grand opening event, with Teki Latex and other surprises!

For the first time, Slott Gallery exhibits during a week (September 10-16) all the pieces in its collection at SlottLAB, bringing together works by Arik Levy, matali crasset and Mathieu Lehanneur, but also by Brazilian-born designer Andrea Knecht, the young duo Pupsam, and the Berlin based design studio Claassen and Partner, among others. Come discover the gallery’s signature pieces (“Contemporary Domestic Confessional”, a two-part seating arrangement by Arik Levy, and “The Power of Love”, a sound sculpture by Mathieu Lehanneur) as well as new exclusive pieces (“Rat King”, a rug by Pupsam, and “Outline”, a micro-space by matali crasset) and Grégory Abou photographies and videos.
Slott Gallery also regularly invites the participation of other artists, such as Marine Peyre, who will be presenting “Outbed” (a versatile piece that can serve as a couch, seat or bed, and even floats) during the event. Many surprises are in the works for Paris Design Week, including a book signing with matali crasset for the newly released monograph celebrating her designs, matali crasset: works (text by Alexandra Midal, Emmanuelle Lallement and Zoe Ryan, 320 pages, 700 reproductions, published by Editions Norma), Leon Milo’s sound design and live performances by Brazilian designer Andrea Knecht.
